Over the course of the past few years, I have experienced a variety of software solutions designed for filling out 4 Point Inspection and Wind Mitigation PDF forms during insurance inspections. Similar to many individuals in this field, I often found myself frustrated as the software would only operate successfully around 70% of the time. There always seemed to be limitations hindering the completion of the forms.
Encountering situations where a property contained multiple air conditioning systems or more than two electrical panels highlighted the necessity for options to add additional HVAC sections and electrical panels. Likewise, instances where a home lacked a permit date for a new roof, whether due to local regulations regarding mobile homes or immediate re-roofing post-hurricane, emphasized the need for customization rather than strict form adherence.
Furthermore, the challenge of modifying reports due to post-repair updates, especially when dealing with a disorganized arrangement of photos, led to significant inefficiencies and unnecessary repetition. The ability to seamlessly remove and replace photos within an existing report without disrupting the entire layout was essential.
It often felt as though no existing software fully met the demands of my inspection work, as if they were created without a comprehensive understanding of both the inspection industry and software design principles. Therefore, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
Initially attempting to develop my own software by acquiring various programs resulted in a realization that successful design and coding require dedicated expertise far beyond my current capacity. Recognizing the necessity for collaboration with an adept programming team, I embarked upon a search for suitable partners.
After rigorous evaluation, I eventually engaged with competent professionals to embark on the project. The challenging process illuminated the intricacies involved in crafting efficient 4 Point Inspection and Wind Mitigation software – an endeavor fraught with meticulous detail, substantial effort, and significant costs.
Through extensive communication and diligent efforts between myself and the experienced developers, we successfully developed an app that effectively addresses the common shortcomings encountered in such software solutions.
